Kung Fu Panda - Future of all philosophy???

When we last spoke in class, I briefly remembered this particular quote of the animated movie 'Kung Fu Panda' and thought it was very apt, as it is, in itself, a culmination of eastern philosophy meeting western culture, and it even brings back the question we touched upon, about what actually IS right now... How long does right now last for before it becomes the past, and would it be possible for right now to be anticipated...?

  1. Haaaaaaaaa amazing!
This reminds me that also in the Lion King there is a quote related at the concept of past-present and also at the concept of experience. In this quote the "image" of the past is behind us but alive. From the past we can learn, understand, have experiences. Thanks to the past (that is part of us), after it, we are going to have different experiences or they might be similar in some ways, but we are going to react at them differently. But, especially we are going to be even more focus on the present to be present in it fully, thinking and paying attention just on now, sometimes also to try to do not repeat some mistakes of the past (as we can see in this bit of the Lion King). So what actually is right now is sometimes a consequence and a maturation of the past experiences.
Hope my writing makes sense :) anyway watching the video you will get it!
